Having established the city of Cologne as her adoptive home, Katarina, of Serbian origin, has been an active member of the orchestra Kölner Akademie for several years. In this time the orchestra has given her an opportunity to deepen and put into practice her interest in historically informed performance, which had lit the spark of her curiosity since the days of her first violin studies. When her violin case is closed, she enjoys reading books of all sorts, from novels to psychology articles, and generally likes to spend time in outdoors activities, be it by the river banks of the sprawling Renanian city or in the peaceful stillness of the woods.
