Although most of my life revolves around music, and the bassoon in particular, I still find the time to follow a few of my passions. I am an avid rugby supporter and spent 10 years as a referee in both Canadian and Swiss rugby leagues – I even was an official of a [relatively minor] international match. Over the past 5 years I have also been working in film – specifically filming classical music events, music videos, and documentaries. I also maintain a YouTube channel where I give tutorials on bassoon reedmaking and matters concerning bassoon history and performance pratice.
