Who was Johann Wilhelm Wilms?
As a superstar pianist, flutist and composer all rolled into one, perhaps the best way to describe him is as a combination of Lang Lang, Lizzo and Steve Reich. His music features all of the best elements of Mozart and Beethoven, but nevertheless Wilms has something special to say!
This year is his 250th birthday. What better way to celebrate it than to hear a concert of his music performed by the impeccable Kölner Akademie, who have made a specialty of discovering musical truffles like these and presenting them to the public for the first time. Come and check it out!
